i faced this problem and tried to find a result from the internet and that was not easy.
and i found a way and that is very so simple. only several steps.
- open fire fox.
- type "about:config" in the address bar and press "go"(->).
- now you are in a new page that has so many things you may not understand.
- in that page there is a search bar.
- in that bar type "newtab".
- now you will see "browser.newtab".
- right cliick on t and click modify.
- now paste the url you like.(example : http://www.google.lk/)
- that is it. now when you open a new tab. you will see your home page.
